Oakland Cemetery: The Neal Family

This is the Neal Family Monument.  The monument was purchased by Thomas Neal in memory of his daughter who died in 1889 and his wife who died in 1894.  The monument was built the year his wife died.  The palm branch symbolizes spiritual victory over death.  The wreath symbolizes eternity.
